Boat on Lake

I am your scout,
walking you through the rugged terrain of your mind, where the nervous system carries messages like rivers through the peaks and valleys of your being. Together, we’ll uncover hidden paths and move through obstacles at your pace. Your strength will emerge naturally as we navigate this journey, step by step.

Meet the team...

Just imagine becoming the way you used to be as a very young child, before you understood the meaning of any word before opinions took over your mind. The real you is loving, joyful, and free. The real you is just like a flower, just like the wind, just like the ocean, just like the sun.

EMDR Certified Practitioner

I bring diverse perspectives to healing embodied in my two spirited, AfroSlavic Urban Native Punk ID. I focus on educating and empowering those in helping professions to understand the impact of systemic violence and explore pathways to holistic healing. My approach may seem unconventional because it challenges mainstream perspectives, and I stand firm in my methods. I invite others to question their views and embrace a deeper understanding of ancestral wounds of genocide, lost cultures, anti-racism and healing.

Tara Knutson brings extensive knowledge from the medical world, shaped by her diverse background as an ethnic minority of Irish descent. Adopted from overseas and immigrating to the U.S. during her primary school years, Tara understands the challenges of adapting to new cultures and systems.

Overcoming serious medical conditions inspired Tara to establish her medical advocacy firm, focusing on helping those in compromised positions receive support. She specializes in relieving chronic pain and reproductive trauma through hypnosis, reflecting her commitment to holistic, compassionate care.

A strong advocate for anti-racism and social justice, Tara’s personal and professional experiences drive her dedication to equity and inclusion. As a single parent, she deeply understands the complexities faced by many families, bringing empathy to every aspect of her advocacy.

Driven by resilience, compassion, and commitment, Tara Knutson supports others on their journey to healing and empowerment.

Rya is a passionate advocate for civil rights and a remarkable resource in community medical and mental health case management. With a blend of academic training and firsthand experiences with neurodivergence, she possesses a nuanced understanding of the flaws within our systems.

Rather than simply participating, Rya sees advocacy as an integral part of the healing journey, navigating through systemic injustices with insight and determination. Choosing not to enter the private sector immediately after graduation, Rya's decision to join Swell Sessions speaks volumes.

Rya's addition to our team is a testament to her exceptional skills, and we eagerly anticipate her growth as a practitioner as she is allowed to spread her wings and share the wisdom she brings to practice. Welcome aboard, Rya, as we embark on our mission with your valuable contributions in sight!
